Central PPE and Clothing Contract (CPCC)
Bristol was awarded the contract to supply a wide range of PPE and non-PPE clothing for the CPCC when it was launched in 2008. The CPCC is a 15 year contract through which fire and rescue services in England can procure national identity clothing for employees throughout their organisations. It offers an extensive range of different items, in male and female sizes, ranging from firefighter protective clothing and station wear to corporate wear, undress clothing and sports clothing.
This cost-effective solution for fire and rescue authorities in the UK has the added benefit of minimising the costs of procurement to individual authorities by precluding the need for local product performance evaluation.
A Technology Refresh programme for the CPCC was completed in 2015, resulting in the development of a new range of firefighter PPE which has added to the choice of PPE available to CPCC Users. As with all CPCC products, the new range has been tested in extensive technical performance and wearer trials. A video of the Technological Refresh evaluation is available to view on this page.
The new range of head-to-toe garments including helmets, fire hoods, gloves and boots, is now available. Full details are available in our Central PPE and Clothing Contract (CPCC) Brochure.
