Integrated Clothing Project

Standard EN 469:2005 Level 2

Bristol was awarded the contract to supply a wide range of PPE and non-PPE clothing for the ICP when it was launched in 2008. The ICP is a 15 year contract through which fire and rescue services in England can procure national identity clothing for employees throughout their organisations. It offers 140 different items, in male and female sizes, ranging from firefighter protective clothing and station wear to corporate wear, undress clothing and sports clothing.

The products available have all been thoroughly independently tested. Technical performance testing combined with extensive wearer evaluation has resulted in a cost-effective solution for fire and rescue authorities. It has the added benefit of minimising the costs of procurement to individual authorities by precluding the need for local product performance evaluation.

The PPE range of 27 products includes structural, wildland and technical rescue protective ensembles. In addition, the non-PPE clothing ranges include 44 items of station wear, 22 items of corporate wear, a collection of 14 ceremonial/undress items as well as sports wear and maternity clothing. This catalogue is subject to change by adding/deleting products from the range.
